NEW Snack List for 2018-2019 School Year

The Westside Safer & Healthier Foods Committee met this summer to revise the District Approved Snack List. This list provides dozens of choices for parents and families who wish to provide snacks and treats for their child and others in class or for school-related events. As a reminder: this list applies to all elementary schools. Secondary schools may bring in any commercially prepared items. No homemade food items or items including nuts are allowed. Please note: to provide clarity and make everything straightforward for families, the committee merged the Snack and Treat Lists. Additionally, the committee included more options that are easier to find in local stores, and also added a few items our staff and families requested.
Our goal remains the same: to keep all children safe in our schools, especially those facing life-threatening allergies and food intolerance issues. Thank you for your help and support to ensure all students and staff can safely enjoy celebrations this school year!
